I wanted to share some helpful ways to prepare your child for the test-avoiding appointments on those dates, getting a good nights sleep, having a good breakfast, reading consistently and having dialogue about books, reviewing math work, making connections with known to new material, praising risk taking and problem solving. These are all keys to showing what the kids have truly learned independently. These are very stamina oriented tests. Encouraging your child to stick with tasks, to start and stay focused for periods of time is a great way to help build that focus and endurance.
